A poor contest where we won't dwell in selecting MONSIEUR to get the better of some less than impressive opponents. The selection is well in at the weights here in comparison to official ratings, acts with cut in the ground and stays two-and-a-half miles, so he has a few things going for him. He is also in pretty decent form, and that earns him the vote. Nayodabayo has plenty of experience in these contests and stays this trip well but he has a bit to find at the weights and also prefers faster ground to be at his best. Bolton Hall will handle conditions but has stamina to prove and plenty to find at the weights, though he does represent a yard in form and in such a poor race his task is far from impossible. Devito handles trip and ground well in this sphere and should be on the premises but we'll take Monsieur to get it right this time.
