Verdict

Lots of exposed runners in this handicap hurdle and the suggestion here is ALTO STRATUS to get the better of Supreme Team. The selection is a rare visitor to the track for trainer Alan Swinbank and has some decent form in context. Cut in the ground and a test of stamina suit him and he reverts to hurdles after falling when still travelling well at Carlisle last time. Still a novice over hurdles and from a 6lb lower mark he can take advantage here. Supreme Team did not find a huge amount when challenged by the winner over this trip at Huntingdon last time but he did run a decent race nonetheless and in spite of top weight he is entitled to get involved again here. Ring Bo Ree makes his seasonal debut in this handicap and represents a yard going very well. Sure to have been well schooled again, he has a handy enough mark and a win wouldn't be a great surprise. Nearly A Breeze won an Exeter selling handicap hurdle on his latest start but has a bit more to prove at this level, while if he takes his chance, Friday's Hexham winner Boysterous would have to be taken seriously given the manner of that success. He should go close again here, but he may have to give best to Alto Stratus.
