This is the most competitive race on the card in which we give the tentative vote to CAPE TRIBULATION with both Amerigo and Record Breaker worth noting. The selection has winning form over hurdles to his mane over the winter and was not discredited when finishing fifth of seventeen at Aintree last time out. He broke his maiden tag on the level at Nottingham last October and is sure to stay this trip and if at his best he should go very close. Amerigo has to defy top weight but is still relatively unexposed. He managed to break his maiden tag at Sandown last May and ran well in defeat thereafter. He ran well enough on his return run at Chester so any market moves should be noted. Record Breaker caught the eye when finishing second at Newmarket last time out and if he can recapture that form he ought to run well, however, for the winner we return to Cape Tribulation.
