This is a competitive handicap in which Blue Jack, Le Toreador and Marvellous Value are shortlisted and the vote is given to Blue Jack. The selection showed some decent form last season and he shaped with plenty of promise on his seasonal reappearance when he looked the likely winner. However, he blew up close home when his lack of race fitness told and with that run under his belt he can get his head in front today. Le Toreador is another who showed promise last season and this drop back to the minimum trip should play to his strengths. Marvellous Value is interesting as he was the subject of market support when scoring on his debut at Catterick. He overcame a poor draw to win that day, he will go on the ground and he should be thereabouts at the finish. Outside Edge is probably better on faster ground than this, and for the winner we will return to the unexposed Blue Jack.
