    Verdict

Labrega won a novices' event over the track and trip on good to soft last May but her only decent subsequent starts have been at Chelmsford. KRIPKE (NAP) was well supported to land a Pontefract handicap at this level then ran in a Class 2 at Ripon from 5lb higher. Back in this grade and dropped 2lb, he looks the one to beat. Confrontational has dropped to his last winning mark in Ireland while Redgrave ran a bit better at Windsor and will like the conditions. Lawmaking has been running in better company since last summer's double though a bigger threat may emerge from Newmarket Warrior, who has raced almost exclusively at Newcastle since scoring from a 1lb higher mark on soft ground at Ayr in September.
