In depth

Verdict

Streaky Bay stuck on well to land the spoils at Yarmouth for a first career success, but this poses a tougher question despite just a 2lb rise for the win. Princess Naomi was going the right way until a below par short-priced favourite last time and is a key player if forgiven the run and judged on previous consistent efforts. Dance Angel is hard to get a handle on as her last two runs indicate - quite a pleasing Catterick success followed by last of seven at Doncaster over the same trip. Plumette's best form over the past year or more has been on the all-weather, so the unexposed NIGIRI is the choice. She's shown sufficient in three starts to suggest that this is a more than acceptable opening handicap mark, especially as she was unlucky not to finish closer last time.
