GUSHING GOLD sets the form standard. A pleasing debut saw her beaten a length in a Leicester novice before being sent to Royal Ascot for the Group 3 Albany Stakes. Whilst never a real threat, she delivered a respectable mid-division finish and should go close reverting to maiden company. It's a similar story with Betties Boy, a good second first time up here and then unplaced in the Queen Mary at the Royal meeting. There's not a lot between them with the Balding filly a narrow preference. Bourgeoisie shaped quite nicely on debut at last week's July meeting on debut and should come forward as a result, and her stablemate, Pannonica, is one of a number of interesting newcomers with Raqiya, a daughter of Blue Point, and Dramatic Effect making most appeal on paper.
