This Listed contest frequently throws up a good one and this appears a useful renewal on paper. ASADNA was touted as something special after a winning debut at Ripon before finishing unplaced in somewhat controversial circumstances at Royal Ascot. He now has a first start for Alice Haynes and is afforded a chance to confirm that initial positive impression. Clive Cox has his juveniles in hot form and Shagraan is interesting on this move into Listed grade after impressing with the style of his Windsor win at the start of the month. Markakol stepped up considerably from his debut to score with something to spare at Newcastle and the nature of his victory suggested this additional furlong will prove to his liking. Palmar Bay and Action Point are others with a fair shout.
