The market is always a necessary port of call in such contests with newcomers of note to consider. All four need checking out, with Welsh Harbour and Toralou making most appeal at this stage. Princess Alex was fourth of five on her Hamilton debut and should improve, but will probably need to in order to deal with BINT HAVANA GREY (NAP). Richard Hughes' filly shaped well on her Newbury debut, since when the winner has finished third of four in the Group 2 July Stakes and the fourth has finished a solid second behind a previous winner in a Lingfield novice on turf. She looks the one to beat. Cool Run hasn't been beaten that far on either start and has place claims, although it may be that nurseries will prove the way to go with her.
Bint Havana Grey 9-2 (9-2) Took keen hold, held up towards rear, pushed along over 3f out, bit short of room over 2f out, ran on well inside final furlong and went third towards finish, 3rd of 12, 2 1/2l behind Woodhay Wonder (9-0) at Newbury 6f fll stks (4) gf in Jun.
Cool Run (IRE) 9-2 (9-0) Close up, ridden and headway entering final furlong, kept on same pace, 6th of 14, 3 1/2l behind Harvanna (9-0) at York 5f fll stks (2) gf in Jun.
Emilshaan 10-3 (9-2) Raced keenly, prominent, pushed along and weakened well over 2f out, last of 6, 11l behind Bella Wella (9-2) at Carlisle 7f mdn fll stks (5) gs in Jul.
Great Generation (IRE) Holy Roman Emperor filly out of Adutchgirl.
Kinetic (IRE) 80-1 (9-2) Dwelt, mid-division, pushed along 2f out, soon dropped away, 8th of 11, 11 1/2l behind Elinor Dashwood (9-2) at Haydock 6f mdn fll stks (4) gd in Jul.
