Verdict

Ravenscraig Castle has been beaten a neck the last twice, suggesting a win is imminent. He's generally consistent, although he hasn't delivered a win since July 2021. This may be his day as he's in undeniably good heart but PRINCE ALEX has contested a couple of competitive handicaps at a higher level since joining Tom Dascombe and put in a decent showing both times. He has a course and distance win to his name too and now descends to Class 4 level. Mothill is interesting as he's been in good nick over hurdles and therefore has no fitness issues on this first start on the level for 783 days. Carrigillihy arrives on the back of a good win at his beloved Pontefract but is raised 5lb and this looks a better race. Quantum Leap has only had a couple of starts and could still be anything.
