A competitive affair, though Just Georgie was due to run yesterday at Wetherby. HILLS OF DUBAI (NAP) has taken really well to fences and is still at the right end of the handicap. He’s won twice at Ayr but this course is similar in nature and he thrives on an easy surface. Bollin Ace is coming along nicely over the larger obstacles and doesn’t look badly treated on his handicap debut. Like the selection, Hogan's Height has won his last two but has been hit with an 8lb rise. Beggar's Wishes and Bako De La Saulaie aren’t out of this but would probably need to up their game.
Hogan's Height (IRE) 4-1 (11-6) Made all, ridden before last, held on well run-in, won at Wetherby 2m 3f (4) sft in Jan beating De Dollar Man (11-6) by 1 3/4l, 6 ran.
Bollin Ace 2-5fav (11-2) With leader, led 5th, ridden clear last, stayed on, comfortably, won at Leicester 2m (3) hvy in Mar beating Hope's Wishes (10-9) by 16l, 6 ran.
Bako De La Saulaie (FR) 4-1 (11-9) Took keen hold, held up in rear, good headway tracking leaders 7th, 2nd soon after 10th, kept on same pace from 2 out, no chance with winner, 2nd of 7, 13l behind Shanroe Santos (11-12) at Carlisle 3m hcp (3) hvy in Feb.
Just Georgie 3-1 (11-8) Tracked leaders, led before 4 out, kept on well from last, won at Wetherby 3m hcp (4) hvy in Feb beating Bandon Roc (11-7) by 1 3/4l, 8 ran.
Hills Of Dubai (IRE) 13-8fav (11-13) Led, ridden and mistake 2 out, held on well run-in, won at Ayr 2m 4f hcp (4) hvy in Jan beating Present Flight (11-10) by 1 3/4l, 7 ran.
Beggar's Wishes (IRE) 9-2 (11-7) Chased leaders on outside, lost place 9th, rallied before 4 out, went 2nd before next, switched right approaching last, no impression on winner flat, 2nd of 6, 2 3/4l behind Granville Island (11-7) at Leicester 2m 4f hcp (3) hvy in Mar.
