Verdict
WOT WAY CHIEF is the pick with Brave Rebellion and Daldini others to make the short list. Malcolm Jefferson's charge was only raised 5lb by the assessor for his success at Doncaster and this seems entirely fair on balance. The step up in trip should represent few worries and as Haydock has long straights, the configuration of the course is ideal. Brave Rebellion is proven on genuinely good ground. He won over three miles though is more readily noted over this trip. Daldini was set to race at Kelso on Friday so would be of interest if arriving here in an attempt to land the hattrick. Sue Smith is also represented by Crozan and Ela Re. Palarshan has proved a bitter disappointment this term. Saunders Road won a bruising encounter at Cheltenham though has it prove if the going is any better than good-to-soft. Oneway was once a crack two miler but a losing run of four years says it all. Wot Way Chief secures our recommendation.
