In depth

Verdict

There are several potentially well-handicapped sprinters in this including top weight CANFORD BAY. Anthony Brittain’s gelding has been far from disgraced in his three runs in this grade this summer yet has been dropped 3lb and he looks to have a decent draw. Dapper Man is less consistent but 6lb lower than when successful over course and distance at this time last year so should not be dismissed out of hand. Iconic Knight looked to be running into form at Bath last week and Lathom also goes on the shortlist as he finished a place ahead of the selection at Doncaster last month. Autumn Flight was second over track and trip at the start of the month but was still beaten seven lengths and there are questions to answer for Tabaahy back on Turf.
