Verdict

Godolphin's boys in blue have been enjoying their fair share of winners lately and HUNTDOWN should provide another in this conditions race with Welsh Emperor looking the main danger and Balcarce Nov the best of the rest. Quite simply the pick is the highest rated in the field but in addition to that his form looks head and shoulders above that belonging to the other runners. Last season he placed in the Group One Middle Park stakes and this term he returned for a lengthy absence to find just one too good in a Group Three contest. He'll be sharper for that latest run and should prove too classy. Welsh Emperor has tasted limited success a Group level but on his day is a useful performer. He has a good strike rate at this venue but still looks to have a bit to find. The only other to really consider is Balcarce Nov after some solid efforts in dubai this season but on all known form Huntdown is the strong choice.
