Mutarabby’s half-brother won over this trip but he’s been racing over further this year. ADDEYBB (NAP) has the greater scope after just the one start, a staying-on fourth at Newbury which has already produced winners. William Haggas’ gelding is also preferred to newcomers Naaeebb, a stable companion of Mutarabby, and Sharja Bridge, though Roger Varian’s son of Oasis Dream is a full brother to a Group 1 winner in Italy and worth noting for future reference.

Long Socks 25-1 (9-5) In touch, headway 3f out, ridden 2f out, no impression, 5th of 10, 9 1/4l behind Envoy (9-5) at Nottingham 1m mdn stks (5) gs in May.
Mellor Brook (IRE) 6-4fav (9-1) Rear division, clipped heels over 4f out, pushed along over 3f out, headway over 2f out, one pace, 7th of 11, 8 1/2l behind What Wonders Weave (8-10) at Hamilton 1m mdn stks (5) gf in May.
