In depth

Verdict

Malahem can beat Jack The Giant, with Murhef an interesting newcomer to note. Malahem is going the right way judged on his two efforts so far, at Newmarket and Newbury. He displayed signs of greenness when fourth at headquarters, hanging in the closing stages, and coped with rain-softened ground when third at Newbury next time. With normal improvement John Gosden's gelding should go close to opening his account here, and he can prove too good for the more experienced Jack The Giant who is starting to look hard to place already. Keylime should appreciate the extra furlong after finishing down the field on her Newmarket debut, and Murhef should be noted in the betting on his racecourse introduction. The rest appear nothing special, and Malahem is the pick.
