Michaels Pride can return to winning ways here with Khanjar and Gjovic appearing the most obvious dangers. Michaels Pride got stuck on softer ground at Goodwood during their "Glorious" meeting but with faster ground likely tonight, we shall keep faith that he is still progressing the right way. Khanjar showed his first form for some time when finishing second to Royal Island at the beginning of the month. Khanjar is certainly at the right end of the handicap to strike here so a watching brief on the market is advised. Gjovic is a still a maiden after many starts. The term of "knocking on the door" is perhaps a little overused in this game but he continues to be thudding heavily at the moment. Mr Midasman won last time out with first time blinkers. Charmatic ran disappointingly at Yarmouth last time out. Prior to that, she had solid form on fast ground and should be thereabouts here. Jazz Scene was narrowly beaten in a York claimer but probably still needs to come down a few pounds in the handicap before he'll be winning races of this nature. Plenty of question marks among these and we will just given Michaels Pride the benefit of the doubt.
