Peter Chapple-Hyam's Victory Ide Say made a successful start to his three-year-old career when landing a Doncaster maiden at the beginning of last month and has to be of interest on his handicap debut off a mark of 85 but a better bet may be recent course and distance winner WHITECHAPEL, who gets the verdict ahead of Saharia. Jeremy Noseda's gelding opened his account on his second start as a juvenile when landing a Wolverhampton maiden in December and made a pleasing first start at three when a close up fourth behind Hot Spark at Doncaster last month so he has to be respected racing off the same mark today. Richard Fahey's Elusive Sue did not progress from a promising reappearance run and of more interest may be Richard Hannon's Fleeting Echo, who has his first run of the season but represents a stable that can do little wrong this term. Mark Johnston's The Hermitage has run better in his last two starts but the handicapper has taken note and preference is for Eric Alston's Whitechapel, who can follow up his course and distance success of last month, despite the 6lb rise in the weights.
