In depth

Verdict

Nod's Nephew lost his rider in an amateur's event at Carlisle earlier this week, but won four times on sand in the spring and could go well despite his big weight. Unshaken was well beaten at the last meeting and is still 2lbs higher than when last successful over a year ago, while Prideway goes well on easy ground and has been placed four time since winning at Ayr in May. Route Sixty Six was notching her first flat win for three years when making a successful reappearance at Carlisle last week and there may some improvement to come. Kilmeny won this event last year and runs off a 13lb lower mark now despite having won at Southwell in October and showing that he retains much of his ability. Apache Point was a clear-cut winner on easy ground at Ayr last week over a slightly longer trip and will go well again despite a 6lb penalty, while Young Rosein won this event two years ago and was also successful over a furlong shorter here last summer.
