Asian Persuasion failed to gain a place in seven flat outings, but was well backed on his hurdling bow at Stratford and finished a fair third. He will have learnt from that while Cheyenne Chief was placed a couple of times on the level and comes from a stable which has a good record here. Almnadia won on the flat over a mile and a half at Pontefract and Lingfield in June and had Washington Pink and Diamond Darren just behind when runner-up on her hurdling debut at Market Rasen, but has since disappointed. Diamond Darren was runner-up three times on the flat, but was novicey on his hurdling bow. He looks the sort to progress with experience.
