Derryquin has winning form on the flat and made a successful debut over hurdles at Newton Abbot recently, jumping well and winning by eight lengths. But this is a tougher test, for Autumn Rain, Taff's Well and Westgate Run were all better class than him on the level. The former won four times, the latest at Epsom last month while Westgate Run netted a ¿50,000 bonus for winning five times in the 2000 season. She has been placed on the level this summer and comes from a stable in great form. Taff's Well is inconsistent, but smart on his day. He has won six times on the flat and has been runner-up in two of his three hurdle races.
