Bold Marc disappointed at Ripon last time but would have claims on earlier form when successful at Haydock; however, more solid claims are probably held by Genari who gets the vote ahead of Prince Evelith. The last mentioned was good value for his win at Beverley when last seen in September but an absence since and a 6lb rise in the weights gives Alan Swinbank's gelding more to do today. Will He Wish ran creditably on the all-weather during the winter and has claims back on turf on a fair mark, while Just Bond now looks too high in the weights for his return to turf following a decent run on the sand. Lazy Darren is less exposed than most of these and has to be respected but preference is for Genari. Paul Cole's gelding was slightly disappointing at Goodwood last month but may be worth another chance off what looks a fair mark.
