Consistency has been the key for Sam Sharp (and no-one would begrudge his owner a win) however LADY LUACHMHAR looked a horse to follow last year and can make a winning reappearance ahead of Prince Of Johanne. Richard Fahey's Galileo filly was not at her best when seen at York in October but she has won here before and her mark of 82 doesn't look prohibitive. She won on her second start last season but if fully tuned up to go today then for an in-form yard she looks worth backing. Prince Of Johanne has a run under his belt and on a literal reading of his run behind Honimiere in September he looks well-handicapped, Resurge is now 10lb lower than when going close at Ascot last July, whilst Jawaab is a course winner who makes his seasonal reappearance this afternoon. Ahlawy's best efforts over the winter have come in a lesser grade, so a bigger threat could be Tropical Blue. He is still a maiden but he looks to have improved for cheek-pieces and his second to Maxim Gorky in April looks solid. An open handicap but the nod goes to Lady Luachmhar.
