Maison Brillet disappointed on his nursery debut at Hamilton last month when a 14 length third and Howard Johnson's colt is hard to back with any confidence after that outing with a safer option looking to be LAYLA'S HERO, who gets the vote over Our Dream Queen. The Barry Hills-trained filly had to work hard to justify odds of 10/11 at Ffos Las last month and she looks a shade high in the weights on a mark of 74 following that effort. Regardless races off the same mark as when well held in a Chepstow nursery last month but she has run better in an auction maiden since then so cannot be discounted. Ed McMahon's Military Call has shown a consistent level of form, including in nurseries and he should do better today back on a faster surface having been slightly below par on good to soft ground at Leicester last time. Wigan Lane has to be considered with Richard Fahey continuing to churn out plenty of winners but she was well held in an Ascot nursery last month and now looks best watched. The vote then goes to Layla's Hero, who was good value for his win in an auction maiden at Hamilton last month prior to a decent effort when chasing home Bluie in a Goodwood nursery last week. He looks the one they all have to beat back on faster ground that should not inconvenience the David Nicholls-trained gelding.
