Opera Cape is undoubtedly the most interesting runner here and if he can reproduce his best after a season off then he has a major chance, but a safer bet under the circumstances looks to be Fonthill Road, while Bahamian Pirate is never one to totally dismiss in these conditions. Fonthill Road acts with plenty of cut in the ground and holds his form well. He ran with plenty of credit over this trip and from this mark at Newcastle last week and as this is not hugely competitive he may well be up to the task. Opera Cape drops back in trip for his first run since last year's Guineas. He has handled cut before and if fit would probably be a shoo-in, but we will err on the side of caution until he proves his wellbeing. Bahamian Pirate is a grand old campaigner suited by conditions but probably on the downgrade, while the ground does not favour One Putra, and Fonthill Road is taken to score.
