Alpen Adventure gets the call in the opener ahead of Indecision and Magnol. Alpen Adventure has shown a reasonable level of form - certainly in the context of this race - thus far and, dropping to this grade for the first time, must be a leading player today. Of course, the key to winning on this stiff track is whether or not the runners handle the testing conditions. Indecision won a Redcar seller on good to soft last time and has also to be seriously considered. Magnol, who races off the same terms today, was beaten a neck by the winner in that Redcar race, with Arabian Fern and Welcome Inn further behind. Friction has not shown too much in two starts, including at this level, although the step up in trip should help today, while La Belle Joanne was well beaten on her sole career start, although that was in the Brocklesby. Finally, Pequeno Dinero is another that is dropping to this grade for the first time and, with both of his runs having come over the minimum distance, improvement cannot be ruled out. Once again, though, for the selection, we will stick with Alpen Adventure.
