Verdict

Favourites and short-priced horses have a good record in this race so watch the betting but, without that, the selection is Pay Parade ahead of Know No Fear and Soopacal. Pay Parade looked as though the experience would bring her on on her debut and, under the circumstances, she ran a decent race to finish third of five behind Group Therapy. Her pedigree suggests that she could handle the testing going and she can go well today. Know No Fear showed some promise despite running green on his debut, but that run came in a fairly modest five-runner affair. Best of the rest could prove to be Rich James, who has shown some promise in two starts, while Soopacal is from the canny Brian Smart stable and certainly gets a second look based on pedigree, even though he cost only 6,000 guineas. Finally, another newcomer, Lekin Sedona, is related to winners and gets a mention but, for the selection, we will stick with Pay Parade.
