      Verdict

      Justcallmepete will be a lively contender if turning up from his scheduled Goodwood engagement on Saturday as he continues to perform with admirable consistency and only failed to make it three for the year when inched out at Newmarket latest. Dark Trooper is enjoying a strong year and was a smooth scorer at Yarmouth last time against his elders and seems sure to be in the shake-up once again under an acceptable 3lb rise in the ratings. He gives the impression there is more to come but BE PROUD is fractionally preferred as he seeks a three-timer. He's benefitted from a couple of delightful hold-up rides the last twice from Paul Mulrennan and can defy a 6lb rise. He'll be fine on the ground too. The in-form pair of Asadjumeirah and Impeller add further interest to a competitive affair.
