SPOOF is engaged at Hamilton on Saturday evening but has every chance if taking his chance here despite topweight. He was back to form last time with a good runner-up effort behind the in-form Abate at Windsor under this apprentice and handles the forecast soft conditions. The veteran, Copper Knight, confirmed that the fires still burn brightly with recent victories at York and Pontefract and still looks acceptably treated off a mark of 83. Stable companion Manila Scouse has been knocking on the door pretty loudly too and cannot be discounted, whilst Sheikh Maz Mahood is also shortlisted after following up a decisive success at Musselburgh with a close seventh in a hot handicap at the Curragh when beaten under three lengths. He's another who will not mind testing conditions.
