Not much strength in depth to a finale where Dr Sharp is given the nod over Magic Combination and Yankeedoodledandy, who can give him the most to do from out of the remainder. The last named has proved to be useful in modest company over the last few months and looks worth a first try in this grade of contest. He has not been presented with to stiff a test and, as he gets on well with today's rider, a bold show cannot be ruled out form him. Magic Combination, who breezed past Prize Ring to score over course and distance last month, is also respected as he obviously retains plenty of enthusiasm for the game. However, he may find that Dr Sharp (also a c&d winner) is too progressive a rival to deal with today. The selection did really well to finish as close as he did in a much better race at Ascot when he was last seen out and, as this is more his level, he is fancied to come good again tonight.
