Forever Autumn is chanced against My Petra and New Guinea. Brian Meehan's colt is a son of Sinndar and is related to a number of middle-distance winners. The yard have had a couple of winners inside the last week so it would be no surprise to see any signs of confidence in the betting market. Alan King's maidens have been a little disappointing of late but there is no doubting that My Petra put up a good perfomance at Nottingham on her last race of her juvenile campaign. She has run well here on debut and can be a factor if handling the surface. New Guinea had no chance against the progressive Red Rocks at Windsor. He was not unduly troubled in the closing stages and would have obvious claims if building upon that performance. The form of Mark Johnston's team has been patchy to say the least. Garrulous was easy to back prior to his run on soft going at Nottingham so the market is consulted to see if he has been able to improve for the outing. Great Hawk cost 400 000 guineas at the sales and looks the type who could come for a run. Forever Autumn is on debut this afternoon but from a pedigree perspective, there is enough encouragement to suggest that he can take a hand in the outcome of this race.
