A first chance to see how the Godolphin camp are faring and Deveron is offered up ahead of In The Fashion and Rising Cross. Deveron has run well fresh in the past and will be sporting a tongue-tie for the first time. She was purchased by the boys in blue following a third in the Prix Marcel Boussac-Criterium des Pouliches at Longchamp and on official figures, at least, appears the one to beat. Fifth in the UAE 1,000 Guineas - todays trip should better suit. In The Fashion is sure to have improved for the winter. She was well beaten in the Dubai Duty Free last term but Jeremy Noseda's horses are faring well and it would be no surprise to see her go close. Rising Cross is a sparely made filly and is fit from a couple of runs at Kempton Park. Second in the Prestige Stakes, there is at least some course form to go on. Jaish looked an improving type last season and is likely to be up with the pace. There was a suspicion that she was better with some cut in the ground so the market is watched. Nyrahini looked to find a mile at Kempton on the sharp side and is another to keep on the right side of. She can confirm form with Suzy Bliss. Deveron has the best form figures and if Godolphin have got their string in top order - she is the obvious choice.
