A "watch the market" race if ever there was one and with Rondo, Borehan and Jimmy The Guesser are among the more likelier options, it is Rondo that narrowly scrapes the verdict. Rondo was worth far more than the value of his Thirsk verdict suggests and this smart juvenile appears to have trained on to better things. David Barron's horses remain in good order and it seems folly to oppose a stable in form. Borehan had to work hard to win a Thirsk maiden over five furlongs. Previously campaigned over six - this could be the making of him so the market is watched. Jimmy The Guesser ran well for a long way over 5f at Thirsk. Acknowledged by his trainer as a quirky horse - we shall wait for racecourse form before piling in. Danjet looks plenty exposed while John Keats has plenty of speed and could be given a squeak on his juvenile form. A trappy affair in which Rondo is selected.
