Football Crazy comes out the best of these on official ratings and he can land the opener, his main rivals being Barman, Atlantic Quest and Every Note Counts. The Neville Callaghan-trained gelding has been a fine servant to his sable, winning six times, including at this level. Atlantic Quest, a winner of two of his last four races, drops to this grade for the first time but, with his stable remaining in good form, has to be considered. Every Note Counts was narrowly beaten in a York claimer last month and a repeat of that puts him in the shake up. Overall, barman has been disappointing but, at best, cannot be ruled out. Cap Ferrat has also been a disappointment and now tries this grade for the first time. Overall, though, Football Crazy gets the vote.
