COTILLION looks nicely weighted for a crack at this big pot. A course and distance winner in July, this son of Sadler's Wells was then ridden more prominently at Newmarket over two miles when a solid fourth to My Arch. His liking for this track is a huge plus and if his jockey can hold onto him then he can swoop late for victory. Perfect Shot looks a major player after a solid York run, and is more feared than Chilly Filly who is yet to prove herself in big fields. Kansai Spirit is a horse of size and scope and now that he's got the winning thread he looks sure to run a big race despite a new mark of 92, whilst Lady Eclair, Red Cadeaux and the dropping-in-grade Moon Indigo are all considered. The last to mention is the top-weight Ajaan who is very adaptable and his fine fifth-placed finish in the Ebor hinted that his next win is not too far away.
