Mark Johnston sent out Notarised to narrowly beat stablemate WATERSMEET in last year’s renewal. But the latter arrives in the best form this time round and is fancied to turn the tables on better terms. Green Light was ahead of Duretto when scoring at Epsom last month but Andrew Balding’s charge can reverse running under today’s revised weights while the progressive Desert Encounter is another to consider upped 5lb after landing a four-timer with last week’s success at Windsor. First Sitting also won at Windsor before another good effort at Ascot while Paddys Motorbike ran well again in this grade at Newmarket in May and acts in soft ground. Gold Prince may improve for the longer trip and makes more appeal than both Tawdeea and the inconsistent Barwick.
