    Verdict

    DUBAI POET takes a massive drop in class after finishing runner-up in the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes where he led until the final furlong. He should have few problems adding to his sole success at Newbury last September. Saleymm, runner-up to today's rival Johan in the Lincoln back in March when conceding 5lb and a winner at York in July, has been well beaten in major handicaps the last twice while the Doncaster winner has been waiting for easier ground. Allayaali had some very smart juvenile form and caught the eye on her belated reappearance at the Goodwood Festival while seven-times winner Snazzy Jazzy can never be dismissed though has a bit to find under the race conditions.
