This is a good contest for the money, and LEGAL EAGLE gets the vote ahead of Tyfos and the outsider Distant Sun. The last named was not beaten far at Ayr a couple of outings ago in a race which has worked out well, and he followed that effort up with a sound run last time and can go well again, though his recent runs have been over the minimum trip he has acquitted himself well over six furlongs previously. Tyfos has not won for a year, but he comes to hand at this time of the season, and he has run well of late, notably when placed in a hot York handicap which is working out well. Raised just 1lb for that fine run, he looks a threat. Legal Eagle scored at Catterick before chasing home the in form Cornus at Thirsk. The winner and third have won again since, and running off the same mark with Jamie Spencer booked, Legal Eagle can continue his fine run.
