      Verdict

The consistent Lotara was engaged in the 3.50 at Musselburgh yesterday. Irish raider FLYING FOCUS is fitted with a first-time visor after being beaten five times on this track though not by far in the last three of them and he holds Jack Blane on their run earler this month. Allux Boy hasn't won since his juvenile days but has been going close from this lowly mark and regular partner Faye McManoman's claim is a plus. Carlovian scored on fast ground at Ayr but prefers some cut and is just 2lb higher while Empress Lyla was racing from a 26lb higher mark in Ireland at this time a year ago and has her first start for John Quinn.
