FIVE WISHES has finally discovered how to win races and can make a successful return to handicapping. She may have most to fear from Primo Way, Mystical Air and Wednesdays Boy. Michael Dods' filly looked capable of holding her own at a higher level early in her career but went the wrong way in the second half of last season and needed the drop down to claiming company to get her head in front. She has won her last two starts in that grade over this course and distance and the handicapper was impressed enough to raise her by 15lbs. She looks capable of running up to that mark and can complete her hat-trick. Primo Way was only half a length behind her last time and, as that was his best run for some time, he has to be feared but he hasn't been a byword for consistency in recent times. Mystical Ayr has only ever won at Ayr but she has finished second at this track on four occasions and has returned to form of late. She should go close again and she has a 6lb swing with Wednesdays Boy for three and a half lengths following the latter's victory at Ayr. The winner won well that day but he failed to build on his last success and it remains to be seen whether he can do so this time around so we're content to stick with Five Wishes.
