It's a close call between Shardda and Annishirani with the former just getting the nod in this four-runner affair. Mick Channon's filly showed plenty of promise when fourth behind Tarbiyah on her debut and can now get off the mark. Gerard Butler's Annishirani also showed promise on her debut, behind Day Fort, and is also entitled to go well. The best of Millagros' best form is very good, but she has failed to sustain it in her last two runs and, on that basis, is overlooked. Linda Perratt's newcomer Forest Air will probably not be quite sharp enough at the first time of asking.
