Verdict

Honest Broker looked extremely unfortunate when just behind Fujin Dancer at Musselburgh and is of serious interest despite being a pound worse off at these weights. However, that race was over seven furlongs and Mark Johnston's charge is essentially bred for speed, so over 1m1f on a stiff track the percentage call is to side with the proven stamina of FUJIN DANCER. Kevin Ryan's charge is a reliable type in this grade and ran a fair race in a handicap here recently. He's also won at the track over a mile but clearly stays further and looks the horse most likely to run his race. At these weights Tayarat has obvious claims but he's not been seen on the flat for nearly three years and last raced over timber in 2009, while Plus Ultra looks a shade over-rated by the handicapper and therefore may have more to do than a weights-and-measures reading of the race would imply.
