There are some interesting newcomers in the field for this maiden including Mick Channon's Bahamian Bounty colt Blue Deer, Marcus Tregoning's pair of Konstantin and Zahraan and the Barry Hills-trained Commended, who is by Royal Applause. Experience can often be vital in juvenile races though and Richard Hannon's INVINCIBLE RIDGE sets a decent standard having only been beaten quarter of a length by Gold Pearl over course and distance earlier this month and he looks the one to beat judged by that effort. William Knight's Proper Charlie stepped up from his debut effort when a decent fourth in a Newmarket maiden last time and he has to be considered but it is hard to oppose Invincible Ridge.
