Digital is bound to have his supporters and is capable of running a decent race but Mick Channon's 11-year-old often fails to deliver so a safer option may be THE BEAR, who gets the vote ahead of Bid For Gold. The last mentioned came good when successful here over six furlongs last time but the drop to the minimum trip and a 3lb higher mark makes life more difficult for Jedd O'Keefe's gelding so he may be best watched. Highland Warrior has been in super form of late, winning three of his last four starts, and he has to be respected but may just be in the grip of the handicapper. Miacarla has a similar profile and has to be considered if the ground dries slightly overnight, while Curtail has disappointed in recent starts on turf but has dropped to a decent mark as a result. Preference then is for The Bear who has no problems with the underfoot conditions and comes into this in decent form.
