Verdict

Sheik'n'knotsterd has not progressed from a promising start to his career as a juvenile and is now only rated 54 so a safer option looks to be EXPRESSO STAR, who gets the vote with Hydrophonic rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has run well in all three starts so far and while yet to prove his effectiveness on soft ground, John Gosden's colt is the clear form pick and should take all the beating. Tim Walford's Proficiency showed much improved form from his debut outing when a close third at Ripon last time and she makes more appeal than the fully exposed Take To The Skies. Richard Fahey's Hydrophonic has shown enough, including on a soft surface to suggest that she will not be far away but it is hard to get away from Expresso Star who gets the vote.
