Verdict

BLUE TOMATO should find this track more to his liking than at Musselburgh last time and he gets the vote ahead of Raccoon and Silvanus. Dandy Nicholls' gelding has plenty of experience and the eight-year-old went close last time at Musselburgh. He tends to get behind in his races and is ridden along from an early stage but he does stay well and this finish should play more to his strengths. This is his level and he can get back the losses from last time. Raccoon reverts to selling company following two consistent handicap efforts, but he is held by Silvanus on their run at Musselburgh in early June. Also linked on that run is Dubai To Barnsley who has every chance of giving trainer Donal Nolan his first winner since 2004 from around 400 runners. The Bear is a course winner and although he has a bit to find at these weights, the gelding is decent on his day despite recent showings suggesting otherwise. An open race, where most of these bump into each other as a regular occurrence, but it may be Blue Tomato's turn to win.
