In depth

Verdict

Westernesse should be suited by the step-up in trip here on just a second start for these connections. He has some good maiden form in the book from last term for Dermot Weld and was only beaten half a length on stable debut a week ago over a furlong shorter. Shine On Brendan makes a quick return to action after finishing second of four at Ayr just three days ago, and Bashful continues to give a good account around this trip and looks best of the Jardine pair. However. HIROMICHI is another sound chance on the card for Jack Channon after delivering two wins and a second from his last three starts - all at a mile. He's clearly in good heart and should be competitive once more despite his 5lb penalty for a recent Bath victory.
