      Verdict

A good handicap and plenty with a decent shout, although the waters are somewhat muddied by the return to action of Postileo - absent for 562 days and now sent on the journey from Newmarket to Scotland. He'll take some beating if back to his previous level and the market may prove the best guide to stable expectations. Jim Goldie and Charlie Johnston are doubly represented, with the latter's Dubai Leader making most appeal of that particular quartet despite proving inconsistent. He should be all the better for his reappearance run and can play a major role if on a going day.. However, the choice is ZIMMERMAN, who progressed well last term and made a pleasing return to action when a Thirsk runner-up. Haizoom makes most appeal of the Dalgleish trio.
