      Verdict

      TAJALLA is the second Varian runner on the card to return from a major absence. He has to give 5lb and upwards away all round but did create a really good impression when a dominant scorer on his Newmarket debut over a year ago, after which he was talked of as a Royal Ascot possible. He's clearly had his issues but this looks a decent point from which to kick-start his career. Silent Words is a danger, having overcome a tardy start and running green before scoring on her debut at Newcastle in November, whilst the best of Northcliff's juvenile form brings him into the reckoning too in what could prove an informative contest.
