A poor race to conclude proceedings and we will take IF YOU KNEW SUZY to land it from Mayfair's Future and Dontpaytheferryman. Alan Swinbank's filly has been seen out in two bumpers prior to this and looked the likely winner on the home turn at Towcester last time before succumbing by just over three lengths. She is related to winners over this trip on the flat, and perhaps the faster surface might also help, and with no other inspiration we are prepared to chance her. Mayfair's Future was a comfortably beaten runner-up here last time over this trip, in what was a moderate maiden and with a 5lb rise for that plus her yard's form not being red hot we'll look elsewhere. Dontpaytheferryman might be better suited by this 10f than the mile-and-a-half over which he was also a runner-up last time. Again, he was another comfortably beaten in a poor race, so don't get carried away with the 2 against his name. Kipchak is a potential improver both for having had a previous run and also for this step up in trip, and a decent improvement would be no surprise. None of the others would inspire this judge to open the wallet and If You Knew Suzy is a tentative choice.
